facts, myths & lies of d.i.y. music is one of these blogs, solely dedicated to old cassette recordings, (seemingly) made by friends or aquaintances of the author. genre-wise there’s nothing really familiar here, unless ‘home made cassette’ is a musical genre of it’s own. the author freely distibutes both whole recordings and single tracks right on the site, and does so with great pleasure.

this is where i found this very snappy, delicate little bossa nova-esque guitar tune called ‘moon trine venus’, recorded by a fellow by the name of gary wray. i’d like to share it with you, too. it’s a shame it’s so short, but still it’s brilliant. enjoy!
